PenzGTU unites continents!

October16th, «PenzGTU unites continents!» - under this motto an event was held in the reading hall of the first building, which was attended by the students from over 20 countries. The organizers of the intercultural dialogue were the staff of the Department of Education of International Students and Additional Education. Opening the event, K.R.Tarantseva, the Dean of the Department noted that " intercultural dialogue is a platform for acquaintance, effective interaction of different nationalities, cultural development and new amazing discoveries. The event has already been held 4 times and unites students of PenzGTU regardless of the course and the language they speak". 

For the first time the citizens of 17 foreign countries marched with the flags of their countries on the improvised stage of the reading hall, where they were warmly welcomed by their fellow students and spectators of the event. And it was the beginning of a bright cultural program, which included a game to introduce foreign and Russian students to the cultural and ethnic characteristics of their nations, the presentation of folk costumes, traditions and dishes. A mandatory part of the program of the event traditionally is blocks for team building, cohesion and overcoming communication barriers. 

It should be noted that the team of organizers was international: not for the first time it included students from Kirgizia, Libya, Tajikistan and Syria. According to the participants, such events are important for the University and the city as a whole, as they help to strengthen the international cooperation of students, create a favourable environment for cultural and professional exchange.
